(The European Federation representing the workers in the
Food, Agriculture and Tourism sectors), design and implement
effective annual action plans for the benefit of both employers
and employees. Topics of co-operation include: Training,
Food Hygiene and Safety,
and VAT.

2000 : Joint declaration on Food Safety in favour
of higher Food Safety
and Hygiene standards and their effective implementation.
1999 : Signature of an agreement fixing fundamental
principles for continuous
training in contract catering companies. This agreement
demonstrates support for the European Employment strategy
and reaffirms a commitment to training, particularly in
the sensitive areas of food hygiene and safety.
1998 : Joint Declaration on a reduced VAT rate :
FERCO and its Social Partner declare that the EU institutions
and Member States should ensure the application of a reduced
VAT rate on Contract Catering in all Member States.
