After several sales and marketing positions with IBM and Ranx Xerox, Paul Wortelboer worked for three years with BASF Data Technology. During the next ten years, he worked for Econocom, a French computer leasing company, as commercial director in charge of the sales and marketing activities. From 1995 till 2004, he worked for Athlon Car Lease as commercial director. He then became for two years managing director of Dutchlease, a leasing branch of Volkswagen Financial Services. In 2006, Paul Wortelboer joined Avenance Nederland B.V., subsidiary of Elior Group, as managing director.

Paul Wortelboer was elected Vice President of FERCO in December 2009.
