Hans Georg Rummler

Dr. Hans Georg Rummler holds a Master degree in Nutritional Science and a Doctor degree in Pharmacology/Toxicology from the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim.

He started his career in 1988 as Director of Food Safety & Quality at LSG Lufthansa Service in Munich. In 1993, he moved to Gate Gourmet (SwissAir) as Vice-President Operation Support. In 1995, after the merger with SAS Service Partner, he became the General Manager of Gate Gourmet Deutschland.

He joined the Compass Group Deutschland in 1997 as commercial Director of Eurest Deutschland. He continued his career successively as Chairman of the Managing Directors of Eurest Deutschland, Chairman of the Managing Directors of Compass Group Deutschland and CEO of Compass Group Germany, Austria and Hungary.

Since June 2007, Dr. Hans Georg Rummler is the Group Director Technical Services of Compass. He was elected FERCO Vice-President in December 2007 and is in charge of the food issues: EU legislation on food hygiene and HACCP, labelling, consumer information and the fight against obesity.
