To continuously improve staff recruitment and retention—and enhance productivity and customer service—employers in the contract catering sector continuously rethink and upgrade their employment practices, as well as their employee training programmes, particularly in the area of food hygiene and safety.

Nutrition data bases, menu cycling, training of staff, quality control, food purchasing… More and more areas of the contract catering sector are becoming more efficient thanks to web-based solutions (particularly EDI). At the same time, clients and customers everywhere benefit from swifter access to information about their suppliers, from improved communications, and from more efficient data transfer.
